We don’t attempt to sell a commercial Christmas. We attempt to bring the good news that we believe as a college of faith, that at this time of the year we come together, put aside our differences, put aside those things which divide us, and we come together seeking common good. We seek justice. We seek a world that loves kindness, and a world that hopefully will love each other. Love your neighbor as yourself; it’s a message that is done at the highest artistic level by some nearly 600 students musicians, and simply seeing those young people perform gives my colleagues and me hope for the future, and it’s nothing but an uplifting musical experience. It transcends entertainment and it transforms the human spirit.
