SPIDERMAN COOKIE POPS – NERDY NUMMIES

Hey guys, it’s Ro, welcome to another Nerdy
Nummies! The new Captain America Civil War movie is
coming out in a few days and I heard that Spiderman is gonna be making
a guest appearance, I’m super excited! We have made a ton of Captain America themed
treats in the past, so today, I wanted to make something for Spidey! We are gonna be making Oreo Spiderman Cookie
Pops, let’s get started! Pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew-pew! The things you will need, will be: 1 Package
of Mega Stuff Golden Oreos, remember, you don’t want the double, you
want the Mega stuffed! Black, white and red candy melts, some lollipop
sticks, and a little template. I made this one in photoshop of Spidey’s
eyes, I’ll put a link down below, so if you want to use my template you
can. Or you can make your own, whatever you’d
like. Now let’s put it all together! The first thing that we’re gonna do is assemble
our cookie pops, this part is very easy, I really like this treat because
it is an easy mode snack. The first thing you’re gonna do is you’re
gonna take your little lollipop stick, and your cookie, and find the thickest
part of the filling. Stick it right in, I like to press it about
halfway through. Now we’re gonna do this to the rest of your
cookies, you can make as many as you’d like. We’ve got all our cookie pops assembled,
and over here I’ve melted our red candy melts in the microwave, and I just put
it into a glass cup, to make it easy to dip. And over here I have a piece
of styrofoam which we will place the pops in after we’ve dipped them. This part is really easy, you’re just gonna
take a cookie pop, and you’re gonna dip it, you’re gonna
to straight down, until the candy melts touches the lollipop stick. Come straight up. Then you’re gonna let the excess candy melt
drip off. Another technique is you can tilt it like this,
and just tap it on the edge of the glass. Then you’re just gonna stick
it straight into the styrofoam. Bewp! Then we’re gonna do this to the rest of
our cookie pops. We’ve got all of our cookie pops dipped,
and I just let them sit for a few minutes to set. And now, we are going to decorate
using our black candy melts. I heated them up, I put them into a plastic
baggie with a number 1 tip, oooh, he’s dripping! Now using the black candy melt, I am gonna
pipe on the details, we’re gonna be piping these little cookies to look like
Spiderman’s mask. I’m gonna place it down right in front of
me, I’ve just put it on a piece of paper towel, so I wouldn’t make too much
of a mess! And, I’m first gonna pipe a line all the
way across. Then I’m gonna pipe a line down the middle,
and then diagonals, kinda like a pizza! Should look a little something like
this, and now we’re gonna pipe the inner webbing. Gonna start at the
top, kinda make, it kind of looks like a little smiley face, and you just
connect each one! And then we’re gonna do one more, closer
to the center. Just finished piping all of the spiderwebs
on top of our little cookie pops, and now for the final decoration step, we
are gonna make Spidey’s eyes! Over here I taped down the eye template, I
put it on top of a cutting board so I can pick it up and move it around, but you
can just put it straight onto your work surface, that’s fine if you don’t
plan on moving it. And then on top, you’re gonna place a piece
of wax paper. And then tape it down, so it won’t move! Or if you’re spider man you just go ting-ting,
ting-ting. Over here I melted the white candy melts,
I put it into a plastic baggie with a number 1 tip once again. And now we’re
gonna trace out each eyeball and fill ‘em in! Then I’m taking a toothpick, smoothing out
my candy melt. Remember you’ll need to make 2 eyeballs
for every cookie pop, so however many cookie pops you have, make 2 eyeballs. I just finished Spidey’s eyes, and I let
them sit out for a few minutes to set. The thing that I really love about candy melts
is that they set really quickly! It just takes a few minutes! And now we’re gonna pop ‘em off of our
wax paper, bewp! And we’re actually gonna flip ‘em upside
down, so that the surface is nice and flat. You’re gonna take a little bit of your white
candy melt, put a little dab, then we’re gonna stick him on the front
of our cookie pop. Now we’re gonna do this to the rest of our
cookie pops. Ta-da! Here are the Spiderman Cookie Pops that we
made today! I love these treats because they are super
easy mode you guys, if you want to make a Spiderman treat that is easy
that you can share, this is it! I’ll be taking lots of pictures and positing
it on Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and if you guys make
these cute little cookie pops, please take a picture and send it to me! I
love seeing your baking creations, it just makes my day! If you have any other ideas for any other
Nerdy Nummies, please let me know, leave me a comment down below and I will do
my best to make it happen! Alright, thanks again you guys, I hope you
enjoyed the Spiderman Cookie Pops! I can’t wait for the new movie, I’m super
excited! Alright, bye-bye!

  1. Halloween idea! you could use this video to make halloween-y cookie pops. just do all the same stuff, but instead of red you can use white and just leave out the spiderman eyes. or instead of red, use orange, omit the web, and make jack-o-lantern faces. I'll be doing a combo of these for my halloween party!!
