NFL: New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons Betting Preview and Pick

Now I know I haven’t exactly been
crushing these Thursday night picks but have any of you guys? Yeah I didn’t think
so. Outside of a Thanksgiving Day that saw the publicly backed team go 3-0 against the spread, squads that have closed with more public bets have
been crapping out hard going 3-8-1 against the spread so don’t even
try to tell me you’ve been doing well on these TNF games this year. So where does
that leave us for a massive NFC South matchup between the Falcons and Saints
at the brand new Mercedes-Benz stadium that seemed too early public money come
in on the Big Easy great question I am so glad that you asked. Despite the
trends that tell us, no, beg us to fade the public, I absolutely love the Saints as
an underdog or even as a small favorite if the line breaks to pick em plain.
New Orleans is a matchup nightmare for the Falcons right now and there’s
multiple scenarios where this results in a blowout win for the Saints. The most
likely of which would see the terrible twosome of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara
run rampant against the subpar Falcons rush defense and an underwhelming
Atlanta offense sputter against the most improved defense in the NFL. New Orleans
attack is starting to look a hell of a lot like the one that led these Falcons
to the Super Bowl last season and I’m beginning to think the Saints somehow
absorbed Atlanta’s offensive power through some kind of Louisiana voodoo or
something. Drew Brees and his loaded back field could roll if they don’t get
bogged down too much by the quick turnaround and the betting trends
absolutely agree. Not only how the Saints gone 7 and 1 in their last eight games
against the NFC they’re 5-0 against a spread and their last five games versus
other NFC South teams, and they’ve cover the spread in three straight games in
Atlanta. I don’t expect the Falcons to just roll over with their playoff lives
on the line in this one but we’ve all seen what Matt Ryan does when he’s got a
sandwich to choke on. An opening total of 55 also seems far too high but with the
unpredictability of the scoring on Thursdays this season, I’ll be staying
away from an over/under bet and I’ll be making with the Saints to cover the
spread in the dirty south. For more betting odds and insight for NFL week 14
