My Top 5 Spiritual Books!

My Top 5 Spiritual Books!

– These are the five books
that I would say, I love you, have helped me understand
a lot about spirituality. (energetic cheerful music) Yo, it’s Kyle Gray,
welcome back to my channel. In today’s video, I’m
gonna be sharing with you, as per request, my top
five spiritual books. Here they are. (laughing) Okay, let’s talk about the
single most important book in my whole entire existence. Number one is, “You Can Heal
Your Life” by Louise Hay. This book, Louise Hay, this is the book that started my publisher, Hay House and before I was even
published by Hay House, this was my most favoritest book. It is the one book that
has helped me really shift my perception and really
helped me understand the power that I have within my mind and I believe this book has sold over 30,000,000 copies worldwide. This is the 30th anniversary
edition of Louise Hay’s book so this book is the same age as me. Well, it’s just one year younger. I think this book’s one
year younger than I. So the year I was born, Louise Hay was putting together this book to put it into the world. So, absolutely love this book and in this book, it really just examines the mental, emotional connection and how our thoughts, our feelings and what we believe on the inside is mirrored and created and
experienced on the outside and Louise Hay, in this
book, really unpacks the power of the mind and
there’s no crazy terminology. It’s, you know, it’s not
just like crazy spiritual. It’s just to the point. Here is a basic understanding
of your own power. Here is a basic understanding
that your thoughts and feelings are creating your life. Here’s a basic understanding
of how you can erase the old patterns and ideas
that could be limiting your existence and here
is a bunch of new thoughts and feelings that you can really focus on to help you create incredible
experiences in your life. So I am so grateful to Louise
Hay who is now in Heaven. I love you very much. Your book has changed my life. (mumbles) Moving on. Another huge book for me in my life, this one’s kind of a bit more tattered, is “Autobiography of a Yogi”
by Paramhansa Yogananda. If you have not read this
book, you need to do it. Supposedly, Steve Jobs, from Apple had one book on his iPad
and this was that book. Paramhansa Yogananda, you know, is one of the most influential, spiritual, yogic meditation teachers of the world. He had a lot to do with bringing yogic, spiritual philosophy
from India to the West. He went through so much
ups and downs in his life and his book is fascinating. It tells a story of him, you know, being visited by spiritual beings, going to these multi-dimensional planes where he is initiated
in spiritual teachings. Like, this book is incredible. Even if you’re not sure if any of it actually happened or not, it is actually a really
fascinating experience. I mean, he talks about being in India and people levitating and
making things disappear and gold appear and all
these different miracles. When I read this book at the beginning of my Yoga journey, I was
wowed at some of the things I learned in this book and also just the incredible resilience and
wisdom that Yogananda had. You know, he was challenged so much because at the time when he
came from India to the U.S., you know, he was questioned
on some of his motives because he obviously was from
a different racial background. He, you know, experienced
a lot of hostility and all these different things and then when people
really understood his magic and his essence, you know, he would fill up theaters
and people were fascinated by his teachings. So, “Autobiography of a Yogi” was a really fascinating read to me
and what really helped me understand some of the wisdom
that comes from the East. This book here, “A Course in Miracles”, if you know me and you know my work, you’ll know that I quote this book a lot. “A Course in Miracles”
is a self-study course in forgiveness. It’s a 365 day practice in forgiveness and forgiveness and
the ideas of the course is not just about forgiving
someone or yourself for their actions. Forgiveness, according to the course, is a changing of the way you think about the whole entire world. It’s a diversion away
from fear, back to love. So it’s really an incredible book that has helped me understand the world and it is a book that can
be really tough to read, a book that’s not easy to understand, but if you dedicate a
lot of time and energy and effort into this book,
you will get so much from it. Like I’m just opening it up
and here’s a little quote that just wows me and I’ve underlined it and wrote a little star beside it. “To forgive is merely to
remember only loving thoughts,” Like it’s just so amazing, like, every time I work with this book, every time I look into it, I find so much. I’ve written so many notes. There’s parts of it stuck together because it’s fell apart
when I’ve been reading it. This book is a game changer. So “A Course in Miracles”
is not an easy book, but a book that has been so incredible and if you get this book
and you can’t understand it, I highly recommend you
check out the works of Maryanne Williamson and “Spirit Junkie” by Gabrielle Bernstein, if
you’re from my generation, especially, she unpacks
it for generation Y. Okay, moving on, this book here, “Helen Duncan, My Living
Has Not Been In Vain”, written by Mary Armour
who is a Scottish medium and Helen Duncan was a medium as well. She was a transfiguration medium and that means, I think
she was a physical medium. Transfiguration medium. She took on the personality, the voice, the characters and often the appearance of spirits that she channeled and when she was doing this,
at the time she was doing this, she was actually convicted as a spy by the British government because they couldn’t understand
that she knew so much and she was the last medium
in the United Kingdom who was tried under the Witchcraft Act and she died in prison because of that. So Helen Duncan’s life and her experience has been a big teacher to me and I’m really grateful to Helen Duncan because her life was not by accident. I think she brought so
much purpose to the world and even if people are
skeptical about the gifts that she had and the
seances that she held, to think that, less than
a hundred years ago, this woman died after being imprisoned and charged under the Witchcraft Act, which then, after she went
through that experience, they abolished it. So people like I, can
do spiritual, psychic, intuitive work in the world. So I’m really grateful to
Helen Duncan and her life and I’m also grateful to Mary Armour who’s an incredible Scottish medium who unpacked her life
story and spoke about a lot of the testimonies and experiences and letters that were
written with connection to Helen Duncan’s life. So that’s a big book for me. And then this book, which
again, is another one. By the way, I have to say
this Helen Duncan book, I have had so many copies
of it and I gave them away. One time I was on a flight to London and the woman sitting beside me was asking me what I’d done for a living and I told her and then she said, “Oh, you might know my
mother, Mary Armour.” And I’m like, “Your mother wrote “one of my most favorite books ever.” So, she took my details and
she sent me a signed copy. (mumbles) So, this book here, “Professional Tarot” by Christine Jette was my Bible when I was starting my spiritual
business at 17 years old. The foundation of my life and my business was doing professional
intuitive, psychic Tarot and angel readings and at that time, it was really unusual for
anyone to be doing that, where I came from and also, it was really unusual to do it so young and I used this book to help me understand business, how
to run a Tarot business and also how to create a business plan that helped me receive a
government funded grant to start my business, my spiritual
business at 17 years old. So in this book, Christine Jette unpacks what it means to run a spiritual business, a Tarot business, to do
readings professionally, how to do them, how to handle them, all that kind of stuff. So this book really helped
me create prosperity reading cards and I always go back to it. I love this book. So, “Professional Tarot”
by Christine Jette. These are the five books
that I would say, I love you, have helped me understand
a lot about spirituality and these are five books that I go back to and I’ve read so many times and this one especially, Louise Hay, “You can Heal Your Life”. I’m so grateful for that
because if this wasn’t created, Hay House would not be existing today which is my spiritual home and the place that has helped me grow
and create my life, my business and get my
message into the world. So, I wanna know. What spiritual books have
helped you carve your life? What spiritual books have
helped shape your world? Tell me in the comments below. If you enjoyed this video,

  36. @Kyle Gray Hey Kyle! I'm so glad I found you!! So, I commented on a few of your videos before, just in the past month or so. On August 15th of this year (2019), I selected your book off the shelf of a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Long Island, NY. When I picked it up, I felt a vibration go up my arm, right up to my heart chakra and down my other arm. It was incredible and a bit strange, but I KNEW I had to buy it. Just two days after that, I had a mini-psychic reading that confirmed that I may have some healing abilities that I was not even aware of, although the idea of healing very much appealed to me (days before finding your book, I actually registered for a class to learn Reiki!). Anyway, since literally picking up your book on 8/15/19, I have begun to open myself up to my latent healing abilities and learned quite a bit about other psychic gifts I may have. Did you intentionally infuse your books with energy before sending it out? I am very curious to know if anyone else has felt the energy of this book, as I did. I would love to hear your thoughts or any feedback on my experience. Thank you!!

  37. 1) Return to Love by Marianne Williamson opened my mind to spirituality thru Love
    2) Mutant Message Down Under by Marlo Morgan made me realize that praying was ALSO listening to God/Spirit
    3) Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield with the message to follow the most beautiful path… my intuition
    4) Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach taught me to clean up my life… make room for someone else.
    5) Going Within by Shirley MacLaine…. how to meditate, balance chakras/energy
    6) it's a long story but all these books were surrounded by the teachings and readings by Edgar Cayce. i am not sure which book about him or by him that i read but he was a huge influence.

but Raise Your Vibration by Kyle Gray fell into my life 20 years later and got me back on track combining all of my past spiritual lessons into one place. 🙂

  38. I would have to say mine would be The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment (both by Michael Singer), The Alchemist, Celestine Prophecy, Same Soul Many Bodies by Brian Weiss, and The Happy Medium: Life Lessons from the Other Side by Kim Russo.

  39. Some of the books I would have named have already been named, and there are others, but those which came to my mind when you asked for titles were: "Initiation" by Elisabeth Haich, "Life and Teachings of the Masters in the Far East" by Baird T. Spalding and "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. Had you not named it, I would also have named Yogananda's autobiography, and I would like to add the books about Daskalos.

  40. The biggest book that's had just a huge profound effect on me is Mary Magdalene Revealed! I grew up knowing I loved God and that the teaching of the church felt wrong for me, and she gave me the answer to all my questions… the christianity I didn't know existed, and I found peace in my heart… It's my number 1 book ever Xxx

  41. Assertiveness for Earth Angels by Doreen Virtue. I picked this book by chance, started reading the first chapter and I was so taken aback. It was like I was reading my own biography.
Another is one of yours actually. Angels. How to see, Hear and Feel your Angels. This is a regular go to book for me. Thank you for bringing it into the world.

  42. Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza 🦋
The Biology of Belief by Dr. Bruce Lipton 🕊
    A Course in Miracles 🌈
    Tapping into Wealth 💵
    Raise Your Vibration 💖
💜 love you so much, Kyle! 🤗

  43. Parmie's my homeboy!!! (Paramahansa Yogananda, haha :D). I had three people hand me that book in one week back in 2007. So I read it and he's been my main spirit guide since.  Then years later spent a year living at Ananda Assisi Ashram in Italy.

I got the chills when you were talking about Helen Duncan. I'll have to look up the book. Thanks!

Aside from Autobiography of a Yogi, my top faves are Practicing the Power of Now, The Alchemist, and The Mastery of Love.

  44. The Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard is an amazing introduction to A Course in Miracles, although written years later. It really helped my understanding of ACIM. These 2 books changed my life. 🙏💖💙💜

  45. The Neville Goddard Reader – Neville Goddard
Easy World -by Julia Rogers Hamrick
You are so loved -by Jill Lambert
