  1. i understand the message of this song. the world isn't as bad as it seems. however some of the lyrics are a little contradictory. work hard for what you've got even if it don't add up to a hell of a lot. so keep working hard when there is no reward for it, that is bad advice. granted i don't think that's what he meant. however all old friends were once new friends so no second chance to make new old friends is wrong, and streets of gold worth the work? um there is no work you can do that gets you into heaven it is a gift so no man can boast according to the bible. also don't let your kids stay kids as long as they can, not making them grow up for so long is what lead to all my generations current problems. like the general idea of the song but the lyrics could use a little tweaking.

  2. I've had things stolen, and i have been cheated on and lied too. So no, I do not believe most people are good. I do not tolerate rude behavior from anyone. This is one thing I do believe in: Good Always Triumphs Over Evil. Later Sheople

  3. I lost my 2.5 year old son alm9st 4 months ago to pneumonia. He taught me so much about life rip Dylan your always mommy's and daddy's baby

  4. Oh my Gosh Luke Brian, I have a crush on you. I can't decide which song is my favorite, but "Most People Are Good" is what we all needed to hear, some good news. I do agree with you that most people are good. Love the country in you xo

  5. This is the Truth of Hope, this is the simplicity of a good life. Glory To The World, Glory To The Library.
    Hope for All

  6. "I believe you love who you love and that's nothing that you should ever be ashamed of." Luke Bryan supports pedophilia?

  7. My brother David's birthday most certainly is August 8th folks. Love you David yes I do copied β€οΈπŸ’πŸˆπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‘β™ŠοΈπŸ’œπŸ†πŸ’šπŸŒ…

  9. This is a feel-good song, with a good beat. However, the message is inaccurate. Jeremiah 17:9 states, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (KJV)." The Bible teaches that all of humanity is inherently evil. Hatred, racism, and any other form of sin can only be overcome with God's merciful love. The USA was founded upon Biblical principles. True "country" people understand this. So no, most people are not good.

  10. GOD is so good ❣️ If people don’t start to trust again we will have nothing. This song really fits for the past few years we have all been through. Bless everyone reading this. 2019

  11. I'm not liberal, but today this song gave a li'l pressure under the eyes and like water came out.

There is Jesus in all things.

  12. Like inspires me so much and I love that it says β€œ believe you love who you love”. It makes know that I can love anyone.

  13. I love this song but don't get me wrong if ur watching this video that means ur on ur phone and his song talks about being stuck in ur phone, I give a big like about this song Luke, keep up the work

  14. Cuz I really want to do that song for my school talent show but I can't because it has bad words in it just take out the bad words and we love stuff and I'll be good and I'll be even happier thank you

  16. Can someone please clarify for me is he talking about gays when he says β€œI believe you love who you love ain’t nothin you should ever be ashamed of”?

  17. Most people are good? Lol nope. They r good 2 only the ones that love them..otherwise. Just selfish self loving folks. Its the as long as im happy then all is good thoughts. We need too look at others not ourselves. Thats the key..easy 2 love the ones who love us..but..try loving the ones you hate! Can you do it? Good luck

  18. Your the best Luke! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

  19. If this is too long to read, there is a small section at the end that summarizes everything.

This is my lyric by lyric analysis of this song after seeing that a lot of people, especially in the top comment chains of this video, don't seem to get it. I only explain the chorus and the repeating phrase "I believe most people are good" once, because reading that over and over again would get old.

"I believe kids oughta stay kids as long as they can. Turn off the screen, go climb a tree, get dirt on their hands"
This verse explains how kids should keep their innocence for as long as possible.

"I believe we gotta forgive and make amends, 'cause nobody gets a second chance to make new old friends"
This line corresponds with the lines above. We don't have a second chance to make friends that we've known for most of our lives, so we need to make them while we can.

"I believe in working hard for what you've got, even if it don't add up to a hell of a lot"
Working hard even if it doesn't add up to a lot doesn't necessarily mean the work is fruitless. If you can get enough money to get you and your family a decent life then nothing matters except for the time you spend with them and others. Rich people aren't necessarily happy people.

"I believe most people are good." This line reoccurs throughout the song, spreading hope.

"And most mommas oughta qualify for sainthood"
This might not mean your mother in general, some parents can be pretty trashy, but most mothers love their children a lot, even if it doesn't seem like it.

"I believe most Friday nights look better under neon or stadium lights"
Whether spending time in a bar, playing a game or watching a game in the stadium, or doing something else with friends and family, you should still have fun whenever you can.

"I believe you love who you love there ain't nothin' you should ever be ashamed of"
This line can be interpreted in any way. Interracial relationships, LGBTQ+ relationships, relationships between people of different religions… it DOES NOT justify rape, pedophiles, or zoophiles (people that think bestiality is okay and practice it). If both people in the relationship are of age and can clearly consent to marriage and later to sex then it's okay.

"I believe them streets of gold are worth the work"
He's talking about Heaven here, the Bible gives a lot of rules and guidelines to help us get There and it seems like a lot of work to walk with Him by your side. God loves everyone and Jesus died for our sins so that we could meet our true Father, we just have to have a relationship with Them.

"But I still wanna go even if they were paved in dirt"
Again, because God loves us and being in His Kingdom would be an honor altogether.

"I believe that youth is spent well on the young 'cause wisdom in your teens would be a lot less fun"
As a teen myself, I can't really say much on this line, but I guess that being wise takes away from childhood and makes everyone around you look carefree, reckless, and dumb.

"I believe if you just go by the nightly news your faith in all mankind would be the first thing you lose"
The news highlights all the bad things that are happening and barely shows the bright sides of stories. It's sad how this happens.

    ~Chorus~

"I believe that days go slow and years go fast"
Days go by too slowly when you're working and not having fun. Years go by quickly because of the days where you do have fun.

"And every breath's a gift, the first one to the last"
Life is a gift, we should enjoy it while we can. This song helps lift spirits and tries to get people to see that we need to enjoy every day to the fullest and live without strife for one another.

TLDR; Kids should stay innocent, you don't have a second chance to make friends you've known all your life, work hard so that your family can be comfortable and happy even if it isn't much, not all mothers deserve sainthood but a lot of them do, have fun in life, love is love, Heaven is worth the work, wisdom takes away from childhood, the news is trashy, live every day to the fullest because it is precious.

This is where I'll end my analysis. Thank you for reading if you did, even if you just read the end here.

Edit: added a few lyrics that I originally missed/roped in with other lyrics.

  20. My favorite part of thsi song is when it says "I belive you love who you love, ain't nothin you should ever be ashamed of" that's right.and people are just sick now.πŸ™„

  21. HOPE ALOT OF PEOPLE,LISTEN TO THIS SONG!β™₯️🐾β™₯️🐾β™₯️🐾β™₯️NO ONES PERFECT!🐾β™₯️WELL MAYBE?

  22. Wow… I'm amazed… I don't even listen to country and this song is nice… It restored my faith in humanity…

  23. I'm not a country fan, but "I believe you should love who you love who you love, ain't nothin' you should ever be ashamed of" are amazing lyrics

  24. Like mentioned in the song and comments, all the news talks about is bad stuff, and it just brings people down, there is a lot more good in the world than bad, and it just doesn’t get talked about, its truly sad. Cause if they do a news cast all about the good things, sure would make feel a lot better about things.

  25. This gives me goose bumps you need to see the world in a whole new we are not on this world long enough to be good to everyone we need to get along and be kind

  26. I believe most people are good , wisdom in your teens is not fun , I believe you love who you love and it’s nothing to be ashamed of ❀️

  27. That one line is so powerful. It makes me cry.

If you just go by the nightly news your faith in all mankind would be the first thing you lose.

I dont watch the news i stopped they only show the bad. Never good when there is good in the world so sad

    Such a powerful line!

  28. That’s right Luke! I’m in love with my sister and there ain’t nothing to be ashamed of!

  29. Awsome song he wrote.
1:50 if you go by the nightly news your faith in all mankind will be the first thing you lose, truthfully to me i lost faith in man kind a long time ago and im glad I did.because there is no hope left for mankind or the pathetic human race.

  30. So true i love this song it makes me cry i would love to meet him or even say a word to hin he is the sweetest man i have ever met he is my role model and i want to walk in the steps he paves for man kind

  31. I love this song as a pansexual 13 yr old at the moment and when i heard the line "you love who you love aint nothing you shold ever be ashamed of" i was in the car with people i still have yet to come out to but not everyone realizes what those lyrics mean its nice to see that the world is evolving

  32. I love that finally there is not only an acceptance that people may be gay, but also an embrace of it. Coming from a country chart topper. All this is the spirit we should embolden and stand together. Fight for fair wages, healthcare we can all get. And can I lastly say, fuck the Russian/Iranian/Chinese etc bots that are having a hay day with each us us tearing each other apart.

  33. The part where he says you love who you love and never be ashamed of.

I can relate because my friends got mad at me for dating this one girl.
