Hi, I’m April and today, I’m going to present on the topic whether religion affects people’s crime rate or not It is crucial to the society because if Religion does affect people’s crime rate then we can predict how many people will Commit a crime and who will be more likely to commit a crime based on whether they have a religion or not Many researchers have done studies like this including Paul Heaton on April 2006, T David Evans and his group, Travis Hirschi and his partner All the researchers have concluded that Religion has no effect on delinquency However, I believe that there is a definite connection between religion and crime rate. My hypothesis is that people who have a religion are less likely to commit a crime I will use surveys with 8 simple questions to collect data. It is appropriate because it allows me to collect a large amount of data in a short period of time and And I will use correlational method for my design method Because it allows me to examine relationships between two variables Here are the eight questions that will appear on the survey, you can also look at the papers I hand out to you earlier In this survey, the following questions will be asked What is your name? What is your age? Do you have a religion? How strongly do you believe in your religion? How often do you go to church/temple/worship ceremonies? Have you committed a crime? How often you break the rules? And last, if you found the wallet with a lot of money in it, would you return it without taking the money? Agree or disagree? All the questions about will be answered in choices. Whether they strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, or strongly agree. These questions will help me to prove that whether religion has an effect on people’s crime rate or not. I believe that the more you believe in a religion the more lessly you will commit a crime. Thank you.
