Hills Of New Brunswick – George Boone

He was born in the hills of New Brunswick, went to school in the valley below. He cut hay in the field, his garden would yield his supper at the end of the day. He met a girl from the hills of New Brunswick: sweet smile and eyes so blue. Well he gave her his heart and he knew from the start he’d marry that girl from New Brunswick. He loves New Brunswick, no doubt about that: the hills, the streams and the shores. And when his life’s done he’ll want to be one with those beautiful hills of New Brunswick. Oh, the pines trees grew tall when he was a boy in those beautiful hills of New Brunswick. And the fish could be seen in the rivers and streams that flow through the hills of New Brunswick. When his days are past and peace comes at last to that boy fom the hills of New Brunswick. He’ll look back on his life, his family and wife with pride – they’re from New Brunswick. He loves New Brunswick, no doubt about that: the hills, the streams and the shores. And when his life’s done he’ll want to be one with those beautiful hills of New Brunswick. I was born in the hills of New Brunswick and I’ve lived here all of my years. And when my life is past and peace comes at last there’ll be no need to shed tears. For I love New Brunswick, no doubt about that: the hills, the streams and the shores. And when my life’s done I’ll want to be one with those beautiful hills of New Brunswick. I’m proud to be from New Brunswick.
