-‘Cause you know how to do it
right there — DJ Khaled. -This is my first time on the
Fallon show! This is incredible!
[ Cheering ] Hey, shout-out to The Roots,
man. Legendary. Make some noise for The Roots.
Legendary. [ Cheering ] -Please, welcome.
Thank you for being here. -Thank you so much.
-I can’t even imagine what’s gonna happen
this Saturday on “Saturday Night Live”
if this is the energy you’re bringing tonight.
-I could tell you, if you want me to.
-N-No. No, spoilers. No, no spoilers.
-No, no, I ain’t gonna spoil it. I’m just gonna let you know.
You know, I’ve been trying to get on
“Saturday Night Live” for a long time, and I’m so grateful that it came
around this time. -Yeah. This is it, yeah. -‘Cause this is my
most important album. But I’ma tell you what’s going
to happen. The “Saturday Night Live” finale
is gonna be more history. The bar gonna be set real high. It’s gonna be star-studded.
-Really? -It’s gonna be incredible.
It’s gonna be phenomenal. -Wow.
-It’s gonna be historic. -Okay, okay.
-And it’s gonna be legendary. -All right.
-You know what I’m saying? -That’s the spoilers.
That’s it, right there. Look at this, right here.
Come on, “Father of Asahd”. Look at this guy. This is — Come on,
give me a break. This is unbelievable. -Can I explain this cover to
you? -Yeah, please.
-All right, so, this the Holy Mountain. I’m on the Holy Mountain
with my son. And the mountain —
There’s water by the mountain, and it’s holy, too.
-Oh. -Now, if you notice, we’re
sitting on the Holy Mountain. You see the sun
coming through the trees? -Yes.
-That’s God. -It’s fighting through the trees
to touch us. -You got God on the cover
of your album? -Well, God is the greatest. What I’m saying is, you know, I started my album off with
a record called “Holy Mountain”. That’s my intro.
-Yeah. -And the last song on my album
is called “Holy Ground”. Anywhere I put my feet
is the Holy Ground, you know what I’m saying?
So, that album is real personal, real spiritual for me,
you know what I’m saying. This is my 11th album,
so it’s not just an album, you know what I’m saying?
It’s the next chapter of more blessings, more love,
more gratitude, more success. You know what I’m saying? [ Cheering ] -I love how that’s your vibe, and that’s what you’ve put out
in the world. -Yeah.
-‘Cause I believe in you. I believe when you say this, ’cause you put it out
into the world and you receive it.
You get it right back. -Yeah, you know, you have to
talk things into existence. I always knew I’d be
in this couch. You know what I’m saying?
It would happen. I always knew that I would be
the father of Asahd, you know what I’m saying?
I always knew, and I mean this in a humble way, I always knew I would be
a millionaire, you know what I’m saying? That I would work hard
to be one. You know,
the new gold is “BILLY”. “They call me BILLY”,
you know what I’m saying? Billionaire,
you know what I’m saying? I always knew I’d be
a hit-maker. I looked up to the greats and
get inspired by the greats, you know what I’m saying,
and I always felt like I’d been great, but as soon as
my son came to my life, I became greater. I breathe different, I walk
different, I look different, I move different,
I think different. I’m a father.
I’m the father of Asahd. -Yeah. [ Cheering ] -I get it.
-You know what I’m saying? So, it’s just different.
This is real life, to me, you know what I’m saying?
-Yeah. It just changes everything.
It makes it all worth it. This is why you’re doing
all this, right, for him. -Everything for my family
and my queen. Mom of Asahd, I love you. My queen, thank you so much.
God, thank you and my queen for blessing me with my biggest
blessing, my son. And I appreciate y’all dealing
with me working all night, traveling, you know what I’m
saying, going to studios, and, you know, just my passion
to make these big records and to provide for my family. I appreciate them
that they with me, part of the journey,
