Curtis Johnson excited to be back with the Saints

COVERAGE FROM METAIRIE. FLETCHER: AN OLD FRIEND IS BACK IN BLACK AND GOLD AREA JOHNSON IS ONCE AGAIN THE WIDE RECEIVERS COACH. HE BECAME THE HEAD COACH AT TULANE UNIVERSITY AND LED THE WAY TO THE NEW ORLEANS BOWL. BUT AFTER A COUPLE OF ROUGH SEASONS, CJ WAS LET GO. HE SPENT LAST SEASON WITH THE CHICAGO BEARS, AND WHEN MICKEY LOOMIS AND SEAN PAYTON CALLED HIM AND ASKED HIM TO RETURN TO HIS HOME STATE, HE SAID IT WAS A NO-BRAINER.>>IT WAS LIKE A MIRACLE. GOD IS GOOD. YOU NEVER THINK I’M MOVING ON TO THE NEXT ADVENTURE. I GET A CALL AND IT’S JUST LIKE, HEY, JUST LET ME KNOW WHEN AND WHERE. IT WAS ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS. THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME, LIKE DOROTHY SAID IN “THE WIZARD OF OZ.” SEAN, I LOVE WORKING FOR SEAN. MICKEY IS THE BEST. EVERYBODY HERE IS SO GREAT TO ME . IT IS GOOD TO SEE THE TEAM. FLETCHER: DURING CJ’S FIRST IN WITH THE SAINTS, HE HAD TALENTED RECEIVERS TO COACH, GUYS LIKE LANCE MOORE. ONCE AGAIN, HE HAS A VERY TALENTED UNIT HEADLINED MY MICHAEL THOMAS AND WILLIE SNEAD.
